It is not a summary of the paper.

Select an organometallic compound or compound family used in either homogeneous or heterogeneous catalysis using the primary literature. The main focus of this paper is to show your knowledge of synthesis and characterization techniques. You are also encouraged to explore mechanistic details, if that information is available for your selected compound. PLEASE AVOID WILKISON AND ZIEGLER-NATTA CATALIST. Recommended structure for the paper: * Abstract: 3-5 sentences highlighting the most relevant aspect of your paper.
* Introduction: 1 page that creates the context for the selected topic. * Synthesis and Characterization: 3-3.5 pages describing the synthesis of the selected catalyst, and validating their structure and composition using at least 3 methods of characterization.
* Catalytic Cycle: 2.5-3 pages describing the catalytic cycle with evidence for the proposed model. Theoretical studies can be used. * Conclusion: 0.5 page evaluating the merits of your selected catalyst. This can include recycling methods, potential substitutes, economic impact, environmental considerations, etc.
* References: at least 7 original sources using ACS referencing style. Purpose:
• Explore organometallic compounds with applications in catalysis. • Explore the synthetic and characterization techniques used to prepare and characterize organometallic complexes.
• Explore the properties and industrial applications of the selected organometallic compounds.
• Explore the scientific literature for relevant original articles on a selected topic. • Practice reading and analyzing scientific data presented in the scientific literature. • Practice writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Practice developing a clearly stated thesis statement. • Practice organizing scientific content in a logical and clear sequence. • Learn/practice using the ACS-style format for references.
1. Well-structured text with no formatting mistakes
2. The abstract must be phrased clearly, and it must express the main point of the paper concisely. IT IS NOT A SUMMARY OF THE PAPER. Think of it as if it was the trailer for the paper. 3. This paper must be full of scientific data. And makes no mistakes in the interpretation of the data. 4. Pay attention to grammar and syntax, and use appropriate scientific terms. And make sure to present ideas clearly and in an organized logical sequence. 5. Use relevant and meaningful references in the ACS format
